The Conservative MP Jacob Rees-Mogg this month announced that he is not in favour of any type of abortion because life, he says is sacrosanct and so the unborn child must be protected.  Yet he seems content that Food Banks exist in the UK to compensate for a welfare state which cannot support all those who need it.  So when it comes to the question of survival outside of the womb, life it would seem is no longer sacrosanct…  Good to know that he will defend the right of your unborn child to eat… shame about the ones that are already born!

  1. Maybe the question will be, when Jacob contests Theresa for the leadership, would he send soldiers into war?

It often seems that the most pro-life of politicians (Blair, both Bushes, Reagan and many more) are the most enthusiastic about sending “our boys” off to a statistical death sentence.

  2. Slightly off the political topic you were going for but Jacob Rees-Mogg is a douche though, right? A woman’s body is her own business.
