Just exactly how incompetent is the British government?  I can only imagine that they are playing to the Brexit crowd when they return from meetings with the EU and claim that the EU needs to be clearer about what it wants post-Brexit. When referring to Brexit in a speech today in Brussels, the British Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond said to the EU that he believes that “many EU opinion-formers see this as a question only for British politicians, for British voters to resolve…”  Errr, yes…  was it not Britain that held a national debate about Europe?  Was it not Britain who voted finally to leave the EU?  Surely the British public knew what they were voting for…  oh, hang on a second..!

I honestly don’t know whether or not I am more appalled at the fact the this government is negotiating for an end position the specifics of which they have not yet decided, or the fact that they feel justified in blaming the EU for the lack of progress towards this as yet unspecified goal!!!

  1. Presumably, if we grizzle like a spoilt child for long enough someone will offer us some sweeties and we can then take our pick.
    Baldrick for Prime Minister perhaps?
